Virtually all our medical, dental, and mental health clinicians are salaried; most work full-time. Prices for services are generally similar to those in the surrounding community. However, most of our patients qualify for discounted fees, based on family size and incomes.
No, we provide health care to anyone who needs primary care. 66% of our patients are uninsured, 5% have Medicare, 12% have private insurance, and 17% have Medicaid. In fact, our budget assumes that at least 35% of our patients are insured (CY 2009 data.)
Our neediest uninsured patients may qualify for our Zero Pay Fund. This fund, which is supported by donations, grants and proceeds of the annual Bob LeBow Bike Tour, helped 785 children and adults last year. Due to the economy, the need is even greater this year.
In 2009, our medical, dental, and mental health services provided 124,806 visits to 30,756 persons, a 7% increase compared to 2008.
