Frequently Asked Questions

Are you a “free clinic”?
Virtually all our medical, dental, and mental health clinicians are salaried; most work full-time. Prices for services are generally similar to those in the surrounding community. However, most of our patients qualify for discounted fees, based on family size and incomes.

Do you only serve those without insurance?
No, we provide health care to anyone who needs primary care. 66% of our patients are uninsured, 5% have Medicare, 12% have private insurance, and 17% have Medicaid. In fact, our budget assumes that at least 35% of our patients are insured (CY 2009 data.)

What about people who cannot afford to pay anything?
Our neediest uninsured patients may qualify for our Zero Pay Fund. This fund, which is supported by donations, grants and proceeds of the annual Bob LeBow Bike Tour, helped 785 children and adults last year. Due to the economy, the need is even greater this year.

How many persons do you serve a year?
In 2009, our medical, dental, and mental health services provided 124,806 visits to 30,756 persons, a 7% increase compared to 2008.

Where are your clinics located?
Terry Reilly has medical clinics in Boise, Nampa, Caldwell, Melba, Homedale, and Marsing. Our four dental clinics are located in Boise, Nampa, Homedale, and Melba. Counseling services are located in most of the towns where we have medical services.

When are you open?
Hours vary by clinic site. See our website (www.trhs.org) for updated schedules. Most clinics are open Monday – Friday and at least one evening a week. Nampa Clinic is open Saturday, as well as 5 evenings a week. Dental clinics are open extended hours Monday – Friday.

I need a specialist. Is Terry Reilly for me?
If you need a specialist, your Terry Reilly provider can make that referral for you and help coordinate your care. Primary care providers are the first point of contact and can deliver your basic care needs and most importantly, their role is to help to coordinate your health care services so you receive quality of care along the continuous process. Terry Reilly will provide necessary referrals for appropriate secondary care such as specialists. Our staff includes physicians with family medicine training, nurse practitioners and physician assistants, family dentists, dental hygienists, therapists, and case managers. We also have X-ray services at all dental and several medical sites, as well as an on-site pharmacy and laboratory located within the Nampa Clinic.

How do I find more information?
Our website is www.trhs.org or call 467-4431.
