Clinical Interests I have a passion for working with diverse populations and underserved communities, striving to provide a safe, judgment-free, welcoming space for individuals to come to when they are struggling. My theoretical orientation is based on the humanistic theory, which states that people have within themselves all the resources they need to live healthy and functional lives and that problems occur because of restricted or unavailable problem-solving resources. I also actively follow and trust in the Systemic, Behavioral, and Cognitive Theories, as I believe that the systems and behaviors of those around us help shape who we become.
About Me I’m retired military so I enjoy socializing with fellow veterans and other servicemembers in my downtime. My husband, our dog and I also enjoy traveling and exploring the great outdoors through biking, hiking, paddleboarding and skiing. It’s not uncommon to see me volunteering in the community with organizations that relate to these activities.
