The SANE (Sexual Abuse Now Ended) Solutions program is a community-based outpatient counseling and treatment program dedicated to repairing sexual abuse trauma and increasing victims’ and their families’ ability to create safety and stability.
Terry Reilly began the SANE Solutions program in 1983 in response to increased awareness of the prevalence and seriousness of sexual abuse within our community. Today, SANE Solutions is Idaho’s largest outpatient counseling program dedicated to treating sexual abuse.
SANE Solution therapists are Master’s degree state licensed mental health professionals with experience and specialized training in sexual abuse.
Preventing and Healing the Trauma of Child Abuse
The SANE Solutions program provides services to everyone impacted by child sexual abuse including victims, families, and offenders. Juvenile and adult sexual offender treatment is implemented to prevent further offenses. We also work to educate the public to effectively prevent the occurrence of child abuse within our community. This program is offered in Boise, Nampa, and Payette. The Nampa and Boise locations also operate a Family Violence Prevention Program for Adults who commit physical, verbal, and emotional abuse.
Victim Services
SANE Solution therapist provide a variety of evidence based clinical practices including play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) that has proven to be a powerful tool in the recall and relief from the deep trauma of sexual abuse.

SANE Solutions supports coordinated, interagency involvement when intervening with and providing services for victims and families of sexual abuse.
Counseling and treatment services are available to victims of sexual abuse and their families in our Boise and Nampa Offices.
Offender Services
Services currently available for Juveniles who commit a sexual offense and their families include:
- Comprehensive Sex Offender Risk Assessments
- Intensive Outpatient, Gender Specific, Group Treatment

- Psychosexual Evaluations

Family Violence Prevention Program
Terry Reilly’s SANE Solutions program also operates a Family Violence Prevention Program for Adults who commit domestic battery. This program meets the treatment standards specified by the Idaho Council on Domestic Violence and Victim Assistance. Services currently available for adults who commit an act of domestic violence include:

Insurance & Fees
Most health insurance will pay for the treatment of victims of child sexual abuse. Terry Reilly receives support from local foundations and the United Way of the Treasure Valley which helps us offer reduced fees (based on household income) to those who are uninsured or cannot afford treatment services.
Juvenile and Adults who commit sexual offenses or Domestic Battery are required to pay for their treatment services. Terry Reilly does not bill private insurance for treatment services provided to those who commit sexual offenses. We will bill Medicaid for services provided to Juveniles and Adults who are covered by Medicaid; however clients are responsible for all fees not covered by Medicaid. We do not bill health insurance for cognitive self-change or domestic violence treatment, clients must pay for their treatment services.
