What is measles?
It’s a virus that causes a rash, fever, and cough. The infection spreads very easily from person to person.
Measles can be dangerous for babies, young children, and elderly people.
Measles can cause long-term problems with the lungs, ears, or brain that can be life-threatening.
The best way to protect against measles is to get a measles vaccine. Talk to your provider about what is best for you and your family.
